Making a home insurance claim

If you need to make a claim follow these simple steps:

1. Call as soon after the incident as possible
2. Check your insurance policy for your insurer and phone them directly on their claim line number (listed below).
3. When you call have your policy number to hand
4. Give as much information about the claim as you can: what happened, the date & time, any loss and/or damage, etc.
5. If you haven't already done so, you will need to contact the police if theft or malicious damage is involved.

In the event of an emergency you may wish to contact the relevant emergency helpline for advice.

Do not throw away, or destroy any items that are damaged until the Insurer says so.
